The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith.

Supper – starting at 6:00 p.m.  There is a light meal together at the beginning of each session which gives people a chance to get to know each other.

Listen.  Learn.  Discuss.  Discover.  And ask anything.
Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

YOUTH NEWS ~ FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES ~

Mavis will be on holidays from Monday August 2nd – Monday August 30th.
Our Vacation Bible School Mission Project was Grandmothers to Grandmothers – a London organization connected to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.  This organization of Canadian grandmothers raises funds for grandmothers in Africa who are raising their children who have been orphaned by AIDS.  Would you like to make a donation?  Cheques can be placed on the offering plate for “Grandmothers to Grandmothers”.  The representative from the organization will be picking up the money next week.  We have already raised approximately $400.00.

The Christian Education Committee extends a special thank you to Emerson Smith and his BBQ crew who made the Friday hotdog roast such a success at Vacation Bible School.

Are you a golfer who is under 18?   We are wondering about a young guys’ golf tournament on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in September.  Speak to Mavis or Dave if you are interested in this idea.

FYI – we are reserving tickets for the production of “Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat” at the Grand Theatre in the fall.  For info on dates, prices etc., contact Mary Beth Burt at 519-474-3598.
SUNDAY KOOL ~ Summer Fun continues during Kool time under the direction of our very own Dave Jansen.  The theme is “Bible Freaks and Geeks”.  Dave will need an extra adult helper every Sunday.  If you are able to be that helper, please speak to Dave.
